In the Playing with English workshops the children speak English as they draw, paint, colour, make things or play a game. I aim to provide a creative, interactive and fun learning experience for children .

The learning philosophy? If you are learning a language through practical, enjoyable activities,  the learning is fun, natural, enriching, and effective. 

About Steve Russell

I am Steve Russell and I design and run the Playing with English workshops.

I am English, and have worked in England (and elsewhere) as a schoolteacher and then as a university researcher and teacher. I moved to the Netherlands in 2018. I have a degree (Cambridge University, UK), a Masters (UEA, UK) and PhD (LSHTM, London University, UK). I now have both British and Dutch nationality. 

I live in Muiden and my son goes toThe Josef School
